Are taxes a burden for you? Read on for ideas.
If you are anxious or stressed about taxes, you are not alone. However, we can put them off or avoid them , but we we still are responsible to file taxes and pay what we owe. Failure to file taxes is a Federal offense.
If we file taxes and can not pay what we owe, this is not a Federal offense.
Taxes are a daunting, unpleasant task for me. I go through every dollar my husband and I spend through the year and itemize them into categories. I am running totals, collecting documents and question how I even financially make ends meet throughout the year. I am often moody and snappy until I get the work completed.
Filing taxes has taught me responsibility. I file because I desire to be honest and transparent. I will show everyone that I have nothing to hide. I honestly want to do things the legal way, especially when it comes to money. Some people have an aversion to filing taxes because they are uncomfortable reporting about their finances .
I have had the experience of living with a husband who had to go through tax audits and pay additional taxes than expected. He did not do anything intentionally wrong and worked out a viable plan to pay the IRS. We learned that we could not avoid paying the IRS , nor did we dispute our responsibility to pay them. We made some bold financial moves in paying off the IRS . We also made some changes to avoid other tax debts.
It is recommended that people file taxes early , which actually increases peace in individuals and families. After you file taxes, plan to reward yourself. You may need to take breaks while you are in the process of filing.
Short breaks to eat and walk are encouraged.
My taxes are complicated. I use the help of a CPA who knows the tax laws . I trust my CPA and have great interactions with him. The issues with my taxes that are difficult for me are easy for my CPA.
The positive outcome of filing taxes and asking for help from tax professionals is that you may receive an unexpected refund. Tax refunds are your rewards for hard work . Make a plan to use your refunds wisely. If you need more assistance with money management, feel free to reach out to me at www.peacefullifefinancial.com.
