What is Wrong With This Picture?

Take a look at your business and your position. Is there any point of conflict? What are you doing well?

I painted a picture yesterday. Painting has been a wonderful stress release. It was important for me to display the picture in my office where I generate creativity and implement business.

As I looked at my picture, I assessed the positive and the negative parts. I loved the vibrant colors and design. I can say the picture reflected my creativity and hope. The picture glowed with encouragement. I felt good looking at the picture.

I saw some weak parts of the picture. It was crooked while hanging on the wall. I also did not care for it being next to the crawl space. I left it there for the time being. I am still processing about how to fix the situation.

I am now looking at my business as I look at the picture on the wall. Considering the strengths, I see my passion to help people make wise decisions about money and insurance. I boldly share stories in how I have benefited from a wise balance of money and insurance to encourage others. I use networking as opportunities to gain business and I am consistent in attending networking events.

My areas of growth are my need for confidence in following up with clients and increasing actual sales. I tend to be hard on myself . I take rejections personally. I am presently in a slump after two recent losses.

I am moving towards getting out of my slump by seeking support and making adjustments. I now feel that I did all I could in making sales. I was not directly responsible for the decisions the contacts made to not sign up for insurance. I made some positive technical changes that will increase the chance of sales. I signed up for more networking events and have reached out to other prospects. I am presently more hopeful and encouraged.

It is vital to take an honest look at your business. Consider your strengths and adjustments that need to be made to improve. I presently have a plan to improve those things in my control. I can adjust the picture and move it to a more suitable spot; I am using the same process with my present business.
